What ages are accepted?
Our beginner classes are designed for ages 6 and up — including teens and adults. Beginners of all ages are welcome.
Does my child need skating experience?
No experience is required. This program is designed specifically for beginners.

Is this for hockey or figure skating?
This program teaches foundational skating skills for both hockey and figure skating.

What should skaters wear?
The inside temperature is typically below 40°F. Please dress warmly and appropriately for the ice rink environment.

Do skates need to be sharpened?
Yes. Skates must be sharpened before lessons.
​
Can you sharpen skates for us?
Yes. Skates must be brought in at least one hour before the lesson for sharpening. Sharpening is $12.

Do you provide rental skates?
No. Skaters must bring their own skates.
​
What skates should we buy?
Affordable beginner skates can work very well for new skaters.

What size skates should we buy?
Skate sizing is often different from regular shoe sizing. Please review sizing charts carefully before purchasing.
What if my child is nervous?
That’s completely normal. Many students are stepping onto the ice for the very first time. Our coaches focus on creating a positive, encouraging environment for beginners.

Can parents stay and watch?
Yes. Parents are welcome to watch from the designated viewing areas.
